Donning the best-selling headphones, WNBA rookie sensation Angel Reese told RS how the buds help her 'drown out the noise and stay locked in'
What do World Cup Champion and eight-time Ballon D’or Winner Lionel Messi, four-time NBA Champion and four-time Olympic Medalist LeBron James, and NCAAW Champion Angel Reese have in common? Not just their impressive laundry list of accomplishments and athletic feats, but their ability to lock in and stay focused on the game ahead — with a little help from Beats headphones, of course.
The audio giant has tapped everyone from global champions and sports legends to the next generation of stars for their latest collaboration. Narrated by WNBA rookie Reese, the “Athletes Get It” campaign shows off how how brand’s best-selling (and your shopping editors-approved) headphones — including the Beats Studio Pro, Beats Solo Buds, and Beats Fit Pro — are go-tos for athletes at the top of their game.
The 35-second commercial starts with Lionel Messi sporting a pair of Beats headphones as he trains on the pitch. Reese’s narration comes in as she speaks to the the significance of chasing your dreams, right as Messi scores a goal. Across the spot, Beats features a montage of high-energy clips showing the group of elite athletes’ relentless determination to succeed, from rookies to all-time greats, as they effortlessly dribble, swing, serve, and show off their talents. The spot culminates in Reese asking “What’s stopping you?” from staying focused in the same way these pros do with Beats.
“I’ve worked hard to get to where I am now, and like so many of the incredible athletes in this campaign I know I have to continue working hard to keep climbing and living out my dreams,” Reese tells Rolling Stone. “Beats continues to help me drown out the noise and stay locked in. Together, I hope we can inspire the next generation of athletes to get it, too.” This is the Chicago Sky player’s second collab with Beats, having previously starred in a campaign alongside Sha’Carri Richardson and Naomi Osaka for the newest edition of their signature Solo 4 headphones.
