Beats Elite '24 takes home the W!
In 2025, Beats by Dre’s “Beats Elite Class of ’24” campaign earned the coveted Cynopsis Sports Media Award for Best Use of Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) by a Brand, Athlete, or School. The win recognized the campaign’s bold, authentic integration of collegiate athletes’ personal brands with custom Beats products and storytelling content — driving both fan engagement and brand resonance.
This campaign was more than a traditional endorsement: Beats, in partnership with Learfield, secured intellectual property rights for university marks and created custom-branded headphones and speakers tailored to each athlete’s school. The effort highlights how NIL programs are evolving — blending product, storytelling, and athlete identity — and shows that when done right, such activations can compete at the highest levels of sports media recognition.
